The official Jellyfin store app is the easiest setup here. Moonfin is a strong alternative if playback or navigation disappoints, but requires manual installation rather than this TV’s app store.

Moonfin requires a Tizen developer/certificate installation. The project targets Tizen 2.4+ (2016+), with a separate Legacy build for 2016 models.

When asked to sign in, use the Jellyfin username and password from Cruv.

Your username is case-sensitive. Match the capital and lowercase letters exactly as Cruv sent them. Use your Jellyfin username, not your email.

Use the official Jellyfin app from the TV’s store first. It installs and updates through the store on supported models. User reports differ by model, and do not establish a universal Moonfin playback advantage. Moonfin remains a worthwhile advanced alternative if the store app disappoints.

Moonfin is a strong alternative for this computer. Try it if you prefer its layout or the recommended app struggles with a particular title. It uses the same Jellyfin account.

1. Install and open Moonfin.
2. Choose Add Server. Enter the address below in Server Address, then choose Connect.

3. If you see Who’s watching?, choose your profile or Add User. If a sign-in code appears, choose Password. Enter your Jellyfin username if asked, then your password, and choose Sign In.

   Choose Skip setup if asked about appearance, then choose a title and press Play.

• Can’t connect? Check the s in https:// and copy the full address again. Don’t add a port number.
• Can’t sign in? Match every capital and lowercase letter in your username. Use your Jellyfin account, not your email or an Emby login. Remove accidental spaces.
• Video or sound problem? Update the app, reopen it, and try another title. The Moonfin alternative is another option.

Already using Jellyfin Media Player successfully? You can keep using it. You do not need to migrate just for this guide.

Windows / Linux: Jellyfin MPV Shim is another option for users who want more playback control. Its full library interface is newer than its playback engine. Official downloads and instructions.

Some native apps handle audio, subtitles, or video formats better than a browser. If the browser struggles with a title, try Moonfin or ask Cruv.

The browser is the easiest free starting point across computers. Current desktop clients are in transition: Jellyfin Desktop 2 is a prerelease, and MPV Shim’s full browsing interface is new. A long-lived playback engine does not establish a new interface’s reliability.
