đź“ş Roku app sign-in (Jellyfin)

ConnectUse Moonfin as the officialrecommended Jellyfin channelclient on a compatible Roku streaming player or Roku TV. The official Jellyfin channel remains an alternative.

Before you start

  • Be an active member of the Discord and have the Jellyfin username and password providedsupplied thereby Cruv. Ask Cruv for a Jellyfin account if you do not have one.
  • Use your supplied username, not your email. An Emby account is not automatically your Jellyfin account.

Install JellyfinMoonfin

OpenOn Roku’sRoku, open the Streaming Store, search for JellyfinMoonfin, and add theit. The publisher lists Roku OS 9.1 or later. Use Moonfin’s official Roku listing or the publisher’s download page to confirm the correct channel. JellyfinOrdinary store installation does not require Developer Mode, a cable/satellitecable subscriptionsubscription, or ana appplayback unlock.

Connect and sign in

  1. Open JellyfinMoonfin and choose Enter Server URL. Choose to enter a server manually if yours is not listed.
  2. Enter https://jellyfin.blackbeardsvault.com in the server-address box and confirmchoose it.Connect. This is a single URL; doDo not append a portport.
  3. If the Quick Connect tab opens, either authorize its code using the instructions below or useswitch Emby’s Port 0 instructions.
  4. Enter your Username andto Password. Select
  5. Under Password, select your profile or enter your supplied Jellyfin username, enter your password, and choose Sign In.
  6. Finish the first-run choices, or choose Skip when offered. Play part of a movie or episode to test picture, sound, and subtitles.

Your existing Jellyfin account is all you need. Moonfin is free; basic playback does not require the optional Moonbase plugin.

If Quick Connect is offered, you can authorize the displayed code from an already signed-in browser instead of typing a password. Follow the Quick Connect instructions.

Alternative: official Jellyfin

If Moonfin is not listed for your device/region or has a playback problem, install Jellyfin from Roku’s Streaming Store. Enter the same complete HTTPS server URL and use your Jellyfin username/password, or Quick Connect if offered. Save Credentials?credentials only on your own device if offered, then choose Submit.

Expected result: your libraries appear. Open a title and test playback.

If your app offers Quick Connect, you can use the optional Quick Connect steps instead of typing your password on the TV. Manual sign-in remains available.device.

Troubleshooting

  • Cannot connect: recheckcheck the complete https://jellyfin.blackbeardsvault.com, address, including https://. Do not add 8096, 8920, or Emby’s Port 0. Try browsersigning sign-in to see whetherthrough the same address andin accounta work.
  • Wrong saved server: return to server selection and add the correct address. Do not reinstall as the first step.browser.
  • Sign-in rejected: checkremove foraccidental spaces and use your supplied Jellyfin username. StopIf browser sign-in also fails, stop repeated attempts and ask Cruv for help if it still fails.Cruv.
  • Browsing works but videoplayback fails: update and reopen the app, try another title, and report the exact error. Keep streamingleave quality on Auto where available; codecoffered, and subtitletry another title. Test the audio and subtitles too. Format, HDR, and surround-sound support variesdepend byon device.your device and app; a supported platform does not guarantee every file will direct-play.
  • Need another client: use the platform alternative or the browser guide while reporting the problem.
