🌐 Web browser sign-in (Jellyfin)

Stream Jellyfin in a current version of Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox on your computer, phone, or tablet.

Before you start

  • Be an active member of the Discord and have the Jellyfin username and password provided there. Ask Cruv for a Jellyfin account if you do not have one.
  • Use your supplied username, not your email. An Emby account is not automatically your Jellyfin account.

Open the site and sign in

  1. Open https://jellyfin.blackbeardsvault.com.
  2. Enter your Discord-provided Username and Password. If only profiles are shown and yours is missing, use manual login.
  3. Select Remember me only on your own device if offered, then choose Sign In.

Expected result: your home screen and available libraries appear. Open a title and test playback.

Save the site

On a computer, press Ctrl+D on Windows or Command+D on Mac to bookmark it. On mobile, use Add to Home Screen if your browser offers it. Sign out when using a shared device.

This browser can also authorize a new device using Quick Connect.

Moonfin and desktop apps

For a native computer app, use the Moonfin desktop setup guide. The browser route on this page remains the default web option.

Moonfin also has a separate web interface served through the optional Moonbase server plugin. Do not assume it is enabled on Blackbeard’s Vault or change the server URL to guess a Moonfin path. Cruv will provide a link if that service is offered. A browser still has its own codec limits; Moonfin Web does not give it the native desktop player’s format support.

Troubleshooting

  • Site will not open: retype https://jellyfin.blackbeardsvault.com, check your internet connection, and try another current browser. Report the exact message to Cruv if the site remains unreachable.
  • Sign-in rejected: use the supplied Jellyfin username rather than your email, remove accidental spaces, and ask Cruv if it still fails.
  • Browsing works but video fails: reload the page, update the browser, and try another title. Browser codec, subtitle, HDR, and audio support vary; the native Moonfin desktop app can be a useful alternative on a supported computer.
  • Stale page or layout: reload the tab. If needed, try a private window to test the session and report your browser name/version and exact error.
