Use the official Jellyfin app on Fire OS.
Use the Jellyfin username and password from Cruv. Need an account? Ask Cruv on Discord (active members).
Some newer Fire TVs use Vega OS. Check Settings → My Fire TV → About. If yours says Vega OS, use the Vega instructions below instead of these Fire OS steps.
1 Install Jellyfin
Open the Amazon Appstore on the TV, search for Jellyfin, and install it if offered for your device.

2 Add Blackbeard’s Vault
Open Jellyfin and choose Enter server address. Enter the address below, then choose Connect.

3 Sign in
Choose Add account if shown, then Use a password. Enter your Username and Password, then choose Sign in.
Your username is case-sensitive. Match the capital and lowercase letters exactly as Cruv sent them. Use your Jellyfin username, not your email.
You’re ready to watch.
Choose a movie or episode and press Play.
Try Moonfin instead — free alternative
Moonfin is a strong alternative for this Fire OS device. Try it if you prefer its layout or the recommended app struggles with a particular title. It uses the same Jellyfin account.
Get Moonfin →- Install and open Moonfin.
- Choose Add Server. Enter the address below in Server Address, then choose Connect.

- If you see Who’s watching?, choose your profile or Add User. If a sign-in code appears, choose Password. Enter your Jellyfin username if asked, then your password, and choose Sign In.

Choose Skip setup if asked about appearance, then choose a title and press Play.

Help when you need it
Use another device to sign in
Use this only when the app you are setting up shows a Quick Connect code.
- Keep that code visible on the new device.
- On a phone or computer, open Blackbeard’s Vault Jellyfin. If typing the address, keep the s in https://. Sign in with your Jellyfin username and password. Usernames are case-sensitive; match the capital and lowercase letters exactly.
- Open your user/profile menu, choose Quick Connect, enter the new device’s code, and confirm.
If Quick Connect is unavailable, use the app’s username and password sign-in. A local app PIN is separate from your Jellyfin password.
Something not working?
- Can’t connect? Check the s in https:// and copy the full address again. Don’t add a port number.
- Can’t sign in? Match every capital and lowercase letter in your username. Use your Jellyfin account, not your email or an Emby login. Remove accidental spaces.
- Video or sound problem? Update the app, reopen it, and try another title. The Moonfin alternative is another option.

Try Wholphin — especially on newer Fire TV hardware
Wholphin often gets good reports for its TV interface. Older Fire Sticks can be slower with it, so the official Jellyfin app stays the first choice here.
Get Wholphin →- Choose Add Server → Enter server address. Enter the full address in Enter Server IP or URL, then choose Submit.

Newer Fire TV with Vega OS
Vega OS uses different apps from Fire OS. Android APKs, Wholphin, and the official Android TV app are not substitutes.
Check the TV’s Amazon Appstore for Astra or a Moonfin version explicitly compatible with Vega. Availability depends on your model and region. If neither is offered, ask Cruv with your model and software version; avoid manual developer installation for this setup.

Why this app? Details and sources
Official Jellyfin has a longer maintenance history and is a conservative choice for older or unknown Fire OS hardware. Owners of newer 4K devices often like Wholphin; some older Fire Sticks struggle with its animations. Vega clients are newer, with too little independent evidence for a confident universal winner.
