🔥📺 Amazon Fire TV sign-in (Jellyfin)

Set up Jellyfin on an Amazon Fire TV device that supports the Fire OS app.

Before you start

• Be an active member of the Discord and have the Jellyfin username and password provided there. Ask Cruv for a Jellyfin account if you do not have one.
• Use your supplied username, not your email. An Emby account is not automatically your Jellyfin account.

Install Jellyfin

Search the Amazon Appstore on your device for Jellyfin, then choose Get or Download. This is a free official app. Some newer Fire TV devices run Vega OS; the Android TV app does not automatically work on them. If Jellyfin is unavailable, ask Cruv about your exact model.

Compare apps for this device

Connect and sign in

1. Open Jellyfin and choose the manual server entry option if your server is not listed.
2. At Enter server address, enter https://jellyfin.blackbeardsvault.com, then select Connect.
3. If the app shows saved accounts, choose Add account. Select Use a password.
4. Enter your supplied Username and Password, then choose Sign in.

Expected result: the home screen shows your libraries. Play a short part of a title to check playback.

This flow uses a complete URL, not separate Host and Port fields. Menu wording can vary with app version.

If your app offers Quick Connect, you can use the optional Quick Connect steps instead of typing your password on the TV. Manual sign-in remains available.

Troubleshooting

• Cannot connect: recheck https://jellyfin.blackbeardsvault.com, including https://. Try browser sign-in to see whether the same address and account work.
• Wrong saved server: return to server selection and add the correct address. Do not reinstall as the first step.
• Sign-in rejected: check for spaces and use your supplied username. Stop repeated attempts and ask Cruv for help if it still fails.
• Browsing works but video fails: update and reopen the app, try another title, and report the exact error. Keep streaming quality on Auto where available; codec and subtitle support varies by device.
