πŸŽπŸ“Ί Apple TV sign-in (Jellyfin)

Use Swiftfin to watch Jellyfin videos on a compatible Apple TV. Infuse is an optional alternative with a different setup form.

Before you start

  • Be an active member of the Discord and have the Jellyfin username and password provided there. Ask Cruv for a Jellyfin account if you do not have one.
  • Use your supplied username, not your email. An Emby account is not automatically your Jellyfin account.

Set up Swiftfin

  1. Search the tvOS App Store for Swiftfin and install it. Check the current device and tvOS requirements in Jellyfin’s official client listing.
  2. Open Swiftfin and add a server using https://jellyfin.blackbeardsvault.com. Use the complete HTTPS URL.
  3. Connect, then sign in with your supplied Jellyfin username and password. The exact buttons depend on the installed Swiftfin version.

Expected result: your movie and TV libraries appear. Swiftfin focuses on video; it does not support music, photo, or book libraries.

If your app offers Quick Connect, you can use the optional Quick Connect steps instead of typing your password on the TV. Manual sign-in remains available.

Alternative: Infuse

Infuse is a free download with paid Pro features. It is optional; you do not need to buy it to use Jellyfin.

  1. In Infuse, open Settings β†’ Shares β†’ Add Media Server and choose Jellyfin.
  2. Use direct server login. In Address, enter jellyfin.blackbeardsvault.com without https://. Enter your Jellyfin username and password.
  3. Under Advanced, use HTTPS. For this standard HTTPS address, leave Port empty. Save the connection and allow the library to load.

Infuse separates the hostname from its HTTPS option. Do not paste the full URL into its Address field.

Troubleshooting

  • Cannot connect: recheck https://jellyfin.blackbeardsvault.com, including https://. Try browser sign-in to see whether the same address and account work.
  • Wrong saved server: return to server selection and add the correct address. Do not reinstall as the first step.
  • Sign-in rejected: check for spaces and use your supplied username. Stop repeated attempts and ask Cruv for help if it still fails.
  • Browsing works but video fails: update and reopen the app, try another title, and report the exact error. Keep streaming quality on Auto where available; codec and subtitle support varies by device.

Contact @Captain Cruv in #support-channel on Discord. Include the device model, app name/version, exact error, and when it happened. Never post your password.
