Install the recommendedfree app, add Blackbeard’s Vault, and sign in.

Have your Jellyfin app on a compatible Android phone or tablet. Streamyfin and the official Jellyfin Android app are alternatives.

Before you start

  • Use your supplied username, not your email. An Emby account is not automatically your Jellyfin account.

1Install Moonfin

Install Moonfin from Google Play. The samePlay.

2Add the store chooses the compatible build. Moonfin’Blackbeard’s current core release supports Android 7 or later, but the Play Store decides availability for your device. You do not need a playback unlock or subscription.

Connect and sign inVault

  1. Open Moonfin. Chooseand choose Add Server. if the server-entry screen is not already open.

  2. In Server Address, enterpaste https://jellyfin.blackbeardsvault.comthe andaddress below, then choose Connect.

Help when you need it

Use another device to sign in

Expected result: your available Jellyfin libraries and watch progress appear. Moonfin is a free independent client; ordinary streaming does not require the Moonbase server plugin. Extra integrations and settings sync depend on what Cruv enables on the server.

  1. Keep the code visible on the new device.
  2. On a phone or computer, open Blackbeard’s Vault Jellyfin and sign in to the same Jellyfin account. Match your username’s capital and lowercase letters exactly.
  3. Open your user/profile menu, choose Quick Connect, enter the new device’s code, and confirm.

Firstis unavailable, use

 password sign-in on the new device. A local app PIN is a different optional setting.
Something not working?
  • Can’t connect? Check the s in https:// and copy the full server address again. Don’t add a port number.
  • Can’t sign in? Match every capital and lowercase letter in your username. Use your Jellyfin account, not your email or an Emby login. Remove accidental spaces.
  • Video or sound problem? Close and reopen the app, check for an update, and try another title.

Official Jellyfin apps

Appearance, subtitles, and shared devices

Choose Skip setup to start with the default appearance. You can change it later. Choose your preferred audio and subtitle languages during setup, or change them later under Settings → Playback & SyncPlay.

On Moonfina remembersshared the account;device, review Settings → Account & Security → Auto Login if this is a shared device.. An optional local app PIN is separate from your Jellyfin passwordpassword.

Downloads require a request to and approval from Cruv, even when Moonfin shows a Download button. After approval, use the Downloading Media guide. The separate old downloader is deprecated.

Alternatives

Streamyfin remains a useful alternative if Moonfin is incompatiblefree. You do not need a new Moonfin account or hasan aextra server plugin to watch. Cruv manages optional server features. App features and playback problemsupport oncan differ between devices.

The current Moonfin Android app supports Android 7 or later. Google Play checks compatibility for your device. Use Streamyfin’s official store links and the same complete server URL and Jellyfin account. The official Jellyfin clients are also available; their screens differ.

Troubleshooting

  • Cannot connect: check the complete https://jellyfin.blackbeardsvault.com address, including https://. Do not add 8096, 8920, or Emby’s Port 0. Try signing in through the same address in a browser.
  • Sign-in rejected: remove accidental spaces and use your supplied Jellyfin username. If browser sign-in also fails, stop repeated attempts and ask Cruv.
  • Browsing works but playback fails: update the app, leave quality on Auto where offered, and try another title. Test the audio and subtitles too. Format, HDR, and surround-sound support depend on your device and app; a supported platform does not guarantee every file will direct-play.
  • Need another client: use the platform alternative or the browser guide while reporting the problem.
