🍎📺 Apple TV sign-in (Jellyfin)

Use SwiftfinMoonfin toas watchthe recommended Jellyfin videosapp on a compatible Apple TV. Swiftfin and Infuse isremain an optional alternative with a different setup form.alternatives.

Before you start

  • Be an active member of the Discord and have the Jellyfin username and password providedsupplied thereby Cruv. Ask Cruv for a Jellyfin account if you do not have one.
  • Use your supplied username, not your email. An Emby account is not automatically your Jellyfin account.

SetInstall upMoonfin

On Swiftfin

  1. Searchyour Apple TV, open the tvOS App Store, search for SwiftfinMoonfin, and install it.the Checkofficial Moonfin app. The current store listing supports tvOS 17 or later; check Compatibility on your device. TestFlight is not required. The app is free, without a playback unlock or subscription.

    Connect and sign in

    1. Open Moonfin. Choose Add Server if the currentserver-entry devicescreen andis tvOSnot requirementsalready in Jellyfin’s official client listing.open.
    2. OpenIn SwiftfinServer andAddress, addenter a server using https://jellyfin.blackbeardsvault.com and choose Connect. Use the complete HTTPS URL.URL; Moonfin detects the server type automatically.
    3. Connect,If thenWho’s signwatching? inappears, withchoose your existing profile. If yours is missing, choose Add User to enter your username.
    4. Choose Password if Moonfin opens Quick Connect automatically. Enter your supplied Jellyfin usernameUsername if requested and password.your ThePassword, exactthen buttonschoose dependSign onIn. Emby Connect is not the installedlogin Swiftfinfor version.this server.
    5. Complete the appearance wizard or choose Skip setup to keep the defaults. Open a movie or episode and test picture, audio, and subtitles.

    Expected result: your movieavailable Jellyfin libraries and TVwatch librariesprogress appear. SwiftfinMoonfin focusesis a free independent client; ordinary streaming does not require the Moonbase server plugin. Extra integrations and settings sync depend on video;what itCruv enables on the server.

    If Quick Connect is offered, you can authorize the displayed code from an already signed-in browser instead of typing a password. Follow the Quick Connect instructions.

    First playback

    Test video, audio, and subtitles using your TV and any receiver or soundbar. Leave audio passthrough on Auto where offered unless a specific playback problem needs adjustment. Moonfin on Apple TV does not support offline downloads. Use an approved phone, tablet, or computer for offline viewing.

    Alternative: Swiftfin

    Install Swiftfin from the tvOS App Store if it supports your Apple TV. Add https://jellyfin.blackbeardsvault.com and sign in with your Jellyfin account. Swiftfin is an official video client; music, photo, orand book libraries.

    Iflibrary yoursupport app offers Quick Connect, you can use the optional Quick Connect steps instead of typing your password on the TV. Manual sign-in remains available.differs.

    Alternative: Infuse

    Infuse is a free download with optional paid Pro features. It is optional; you do not needrequired to buy it to usewatch Jellyfin.

    1. In Infuse, open Settings → Shares → Add Media Server and→ choose Jellyfin.
    2. Use direct server login. In Address, enter jellyfin.blackbeardsvault.com without https://., Enterthen enter your Jellyfin username and password.
    3. Under Advanced, useselect HTTPS.HTTPS Forand leave Port empty for this standard HTTPS address, leave Port empty.address. Save the connection and allowlet the library to load.

    Infuse separates the hostname from itsand HTTPS option. DoMoonfin notand pasteSwiftfin use the fullcomplete URL into its Address field.instead.

    Troubleshooting

    • Cannot connect: recheckcheck the complete https://jellyfin.blackbeardsvault.com, address, including https://. Do not add 8096, 8920, or Emby’s Port 0. Try browsersigning sign-in to see whetherthrough the same address andin accounta work.
    • Wrong saved server: return to server selection and add the correct address. Do not reinstall as the first step.browser.
    • Sign-in rejected: checkremove foraccidental spaces and use your supplied Jellyfin username. StopIf browser sign-in also fails, stop repeated attempts and ask Cruv for help if it still fails.Cruv.
    • Browsing works but videoplayback fails: update and reopen the app, try another title, and report the exact error. Keep streamingleave quality on Auto where available; codecoffered, and subtitletry another title. Test the audio and subtitles too. Format, HDR, and surround-sound support variesdepend byon device.your device and app; a supported platform does not guarantee every file will direct-play.
    • Need another client: use the platform alternative or the browser guide while reporting the problem.
