Before you start

Use your supplied username, not your email. An Emby account is not automatically your Jellyfin account.

Install Moonfin

On your Apple TV, open the App Store, search for Moonfin, and install it.

Connect and sign inVault

  1. Open Moonfin. Chooseand choose Add Server. if the server-entry screen is not already open.

  2. In Server Address, enter https://jellyfin.blackbeardsvault.comthe andaddress below, then choose Connect.

If you see Who’s watching? appears,, choose your existingprofile profile. If yours is missing, chooseor Add User.

Choose Skip setup toif keepMoonfin theasks defaults.about Openappearance. Pick a movie or episode and testpress picture, audio, and subtitles.Play.

ExpectedWatching result:offline? your available Jellyfin libraries and watch progress appear. Moonfin is a free independent client; ordinary streaming does not require the Moonbase server plugin. Extra integrations and settings sync depend on what Cruv enables on the server.

If Quick Connect is offered, you can authorize the displayed code from an already signed-in browser instead of typing a password. Follow the Quick Connect instructions.

First playback

Test video, audio, and subtitles using your TV and any receiver or soundbar. Leave audio passthrough on Auto where offered unless a specific playback problem needs adjustment. Moonfin on Apple TV doescannot notsave support offlineMoonfin downloads. Use an approveda phone, tablet, or computer forinstead, offlineafter viewing.Cruv approves download access.

Use another device to sign in

  1. Keep the code visible on the new device.
  2. On a phone or computer, open Blackbeard’s Vault Jellyfin and sign in to the same Jellyfin account. Match your username’s capital and lowercase letters exactly.
  3. Open your user/profile menu, choose Quick Connect, enter the new device’s code, and confirm.

If Quick Connect is unavailable, use password sign-in on the new device. A local app PIN is a different optional setting.

Something not working?
  • Can’t connect? Check the s in https://jellyfin.blackbeardsvault.com and copy the full server address again. Don’t add a port number.
  • Can’t sign in? Match every capital and lowercase letter in your username. Use your Jellyfin account, not your email or an Emby login. Remove accidental spaces.
  • Video or sound problem? Close and reopen the app, check for an update, and try another title.

Moonfin unavailable or not working?

Try Swiftfin, the official Jellyfin video app. Add the same server address and sign in with yourthe same Jellyfin account. Swiftfin

Infuse is ananother official video client; music, photo, and book library support differs.

Infuse is a free downloadoption, with optional paid Pro features. ItYou isdo not requiredneed to buy it to watch Jellyfin.

Using Infuse instead
  1. In Infuse, openOpen Settings → Shares → Add Media Server → Jellyfin.
  2. Use direct server login. In Address, enter jellyfin.blackbeardsvault.com without https://, then enter your Jellyfin username and password. Match the username’s capital and lowercase letters exactly.
  3. Under Advanced, selectchoose HTTPS and leave Port empty for this standard HTTPS address.empty. Save and let the library load.

On a shared device, review Settings → Account & Security → Auto Login. An optional local app PIN is separate from your Jellyfin password.

Moonfin is free. You do not need a new Moonfin account or an extra server plugin to watch. Cruv manages optional server features. App features and playback support dependcan differ between devices.

The current Moonfin App Store listing requires tvOS 17 or later. Check Compatibility on your deviceApple and app;TV; a supportedpublic platformstore install does not guaranteeneed every file will direct-play.
