📱 iOS app sign-in (Jellyfin)

Use StreamyfinMoonfin toas streamthe recommended Jellyfin app on ana compatible iPhone or iPad. Streamyfin remains an alternative.

Before you start

  • Be an active member of the Discord and have the Jellyfin username and password providedsupplied thereby Cruv. Ask Cruv for a Jellyfin account if you do not have one.
  • Use your supplied username, not your email. An Emby account is not automatically your Jellyfin account.

Install the appMoonfin

Install StreamyfinMoonfin from the App Store.Store. UseThe Streamyfin’scurrent websitelisting tosupports findiOS/iPadOS 16 or later; check its officialCompatibility storesection linksfor your device. This is a public App Store app, so TestFlight is not required. Moonfin is free and checkhas deviceno compatibility.

Connect Streamyfinand sign in

  1. Open StreamyfinMoonfin. andChoose addAdd a serverServer if onethe server-entry screen is not already shown.open.
  2. EnterIn Server Address, enter https://jellyfin.blackbeardsvault.com in the Server URL field,and then tapchoose Connect.
  3. Enter Use the complete HTTPS URL; Moonfin detects the server type automatically.
  4. If Who’s watching? appears, choose your existing profile. If yours is missing, choose Add User to enter your username.
  5. Choose Password if Moonfin opens Quick Connect automatically. Enter your supplied Jellyfin Username if requested and your Password, then tapchoose LogSign In. UseEmby SaveConnect is not the login for this accountserver.
  6. Complete the appearance wizard or choose Skip setup onlyto onkeep yourthe owndefaults. deviceOpen ifa offered.movie or episode and test picture, audio, and subtitles.

Expected result: your available Jellyfin libraries load.and Openwatch progress appear. Moonfin is a titlefree independent client; ordinary streaming does not require the Moonbase server plugin. Extra integrations and playsettings sync depend on what Cruv enables on the server.

First use

Choose your preferred audio and subtitle languages during setup, or change them later under Settings → Playback & SyncPlay. Moonfin remembers the account; review Settings → Account & Security → Auto Login if this is a shared device. An optional local app PIN is separate from your Jellyfin password and from a Quick Connect code.

Downloads

Downloads require a request to check video and sound.

UsingAlternatives

Streamyfin anremains a useful alternative if Moonfin is incompatible or has a playback problem on your device. Use Streamyfin’s official Jellyfinstore app instead?

The official Jellyfin Mobilelinks

and Swiftfin apps use different menus. Add the same complete server URL and sign in with the same Jellyfin account. SwiftfinThe isofficial aJellyfin videoclients client;are music,also photo,available; their screens differ.

The official Jellyfin Mobile and bookSwiftfin librariesapps are notalso supported.alternatives. Swiftfin focuses on video; its menus and supported library types differ from Moonfin.

Troubleshooting

  • Cannot connect: recheckcheck the complete https://jellyfin.blackbeardsvault.com, address, including https://. Do not add 8096, 8920, or Emby’s Port 0. Try browsersigning sign-in to see whetherthrough the same address andin accounta work.
  • Wrong saved server: return to server selection and add the correct address. Do not reinstall as the first step.browser.
  • Sign-in rejected: checkremove foraccidental spaces and use your supplied Jellyfin username. StopIf browser sign-in also fails, stop repeated attempts and ask Cruv for help if it still fails.Cruv.
  • Browsing works but videoplayback fails: update and reopen the app, try another title, and report the exact error. Keep streamingleave quality on Auto where available; codecoffered, and subtitletry another title. Test the audio and subtitles too. Format, HDR, and surround-sound support variesdepend byon device.your device and app; a supported platform does not guarantee every file will direct-play.
  • Need another client: use the platform alternative or the browser guide while reporting the problem.
