🚀 Getting Started with Jellyfin

Quick Connect lets an already signed-in phone or computer approve the device you’re setting up. Use it when your app shows a Quick Connect code.

1. Keep the code visible on the new device.
2. On a phone or computer, open Blackbeard’s Vault.Vault StartJellyfin and sign in to the same Jellyfin account. Match your username’s capital and lowercase letters exactly.
3. Open your user/profile menu, choose Quick Connect, enter the new device’s code, and confirm.

If Quick Connect is unavailable, use password sign-in on the new device. A local app PIN is a different optional setting.

Moonfin is the first choice on most supported devices. Samsung and LG are simpler with yourtheir account,official thenJellyfin choosestore app. Fire TV models need a quick model check. You do not need to compare all the options—follow the guide for your device.

Copy the complete HTTPS address into Moonfin or another Jellyfin app. Do not add a default Jellyfin port such as 8096 or 8920, and do not use an Emby serverlogin. address.

ChooseRemove youraccidental device

Moonfin isreopen the recommendedapp, appcheck wherefor aan compatible public store app or supported desktop release is available. It is freeupdate, and works with the existing Jellyfin account; Moonbase is optional for normal playback. Samsung/LG sideloading and Vega OS need separate treatment, so Moonfin is not a single easy-install default for every device.

Optional: Quick Connect

Use this when Quick Connect is offered and you are already signed in to the same Blackbeard’s Vault Jellyfin server and account ontry another device.title.

Still Moonfinstuck? may show the code automatically after connecting; choose Password if you prefer manual sign-in.

1. Keep the new device’s Quick Connect code visible.
2. On your already signed-in phone or computer, open Jellyfin in a browser, select your user icon, then Quick Connect in the user/settings menu.
3. Enter the code from the new device and confirm. Moonfin should sign in automatically; other clients may ask you to finish on the new device.

If Quick Connect is unavailable or the code expires, use the supplied username/password or request a new code. This is a Jellyfin account authorization, not a paid activation. A Moonfin profile PIN is a separate optional local setting.

Downloads

Downloads require a request to and approval from Cruv, even when Moonfin shows a Download button. After approval, use the Downloading Media guide. The separate old downloader is deprecated.
